Church and school in Bluefields. 11/18/14

Sunday, November, 16
We awoke to rain and down pours this morning.  It rained all night as well. I have never seen so much rain before!

Hard to see but it is just pouring rain!

Fortunately,  it stopped raining at the time we needed to leave to go to Sunday School at 9:00am ( church).  We walked to the Moravian Old Banks Chapel along with the girls from the Tabitha's Home.

Ana walking to church with girls.
After the tremendous rain, roads are flowing with water, the muddy river to the brim, and I hoped not to get sprayed by a passing taxi.

The Old Bank chapel is a small community church filled about 70 people (mostly women and children.)  Ana and Peter went with the children to the Sunday school. Dave, Jack and I stayed for the adult service.
The service was in English, so we understood most of it.

We went home for lunch, and it rained even more.  The power went out a few times on Sunday.
On Tuesday, Ana went to the Moravian High School with her friend, Abayomi.  She is borrowing someone's uniform.  The children of Nicaragua are in their last week of school before summer vacation.  There are final exams and graduation ceremonies taking place. We awake at 5:45am, Ana gets in a taxi at 6:30 to reach the Moravian school when it starts at 7:00am. The streets are so busy by 6:30am; going to school, shopping for groceries, washing clothes, walking to work, etc.
A typical school uniform for every girl in Bluefields; skirt, white shirt and blue socks.
